This is how Adora is born: A cardigan that only needs willpower and double crochet stitches. If you are an experienced crocheter like me, I invite you to re-evaluate one of the classic crochet stitches that we use and mix in most of our creations, and if you are a beginner crocheter or just starting in the art of crochet, I invite you to learn how to construct a basic garment with a simple and quick stitch.

This crochet guide consists of a downloadable PDF where I explain how to make the cardigan. It includes a direct link to a 15-minute video on my YouTube channel where you can find the step-by-step instructions for all parts of Adora’s construction.

DK Weight Yarn (12 -14 WPI).

5.0 mm hook. You might need a 4.00 mm crochet hook for the sleeve cuffs and a 6.0 mm crochet hook for the waistbands.

This garment comes with instructions for crocheting it in 4 different sizes, defined by bust measurements ranging from 90 cm to 120 cm.

You will learn how to apply the basic crochet stitches in a simple garment design to incorporate into your wardrobe. You will want to crochet this in every color.
You will learn how to make decreases and work the double crochet stitch as a 1/1 ribbing band.
I will show you how to sew the shoulders and the side seams and how to “pick up” stitches to crochet the sleeves from the shoulders.
Finally, I will teach you how to make buttonholes to add buttons and finish weaving in your ends.

Just the basic notions of crochet. You need to know how to make chains and double crochet stitches.
I don’t use abbreviations in my patterns, so they are very easy to follow — you won’t find any confusing acronyms.
